Rodney NubinSenior Vice President and BrokerRodney Nubin was born in Riviera Beach, FL and went to high school at Palm Beach Gardens. After high school he attended Eastern Michigan University on a football scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Communications.
Rodney started his insurance career in 1997 with Auto-Owners Insurance Company. He began working as a personal lines underwriter then quickly moved over to commercial lines. Shortly thereafter, Rodney was promoted to Underwriting Manager where he managed the underwriting division in both Illinois and Missouri. Subsequently Auto-Owners moved him to Chicago to become the regional Marketing Representative for the Metropolitan Chicagoland area. He managed a commercial book of business that was comprised of $160M in written premium. In 2004 Rodney joined Socius Insurance Agency and established the first office in the Midwest. Since opening that office, the Midwest operation has grown to two locations (Downton Chicago, IL and Elgin, IL) and over $50M in written premium, with a focus on Casualty Property and Management Liability. Besides managing a book of business and the Midwest regional operations, Rodney is a shareholder at Socius Insurance and the National Casualty Practice Leader. Since joining Socius, Rodney has quickly moved up the ranks and positioned himself as an expert in placing casualty for Contractors, Environmental insurance, Contractor’s Pollution, Contractors Pollution/Professional, Product recall for the food industry, Excess Liability, Restaurants, Bars/Taverns, Hospitality, Life Sciences, and Cannabis related risks. While Rodney has expertise in the aforementioned classes of business, he can place just about any excess and surplus casualty account. Rodney’s top three priorities in life are:
