Tim KolbFounder of R.I.S.E. America and President of Jeniko Machine Works, Inc.Tim Kolb is an entrepreneur and business owner. He started Jeniko Machine Works, Inc. in 1998 which has resided in South Elgin, IL since 2012. Aside from attending Northern Illinois University for one year, Tim has spent his entire working career in machining. He worked for his father from the age of 16 and managed his father’s night shift for nearly 5 years before deciding to break off on his own in 1998.
Community Involvement Tim is an avid sports fan that shares that passion with his kids. He head coached dozens of teams in the St. Charles, South Elgin, and Elgin areas for over 12 years in softball, basketball, soccer, and football. Tim has participated on several manufacturing advisory boards including Elgin Community College (ECC) and U-46 school districts since 2005 to help sculpt curriculum and technology. Tim has served on SEED (South Elgin Economic Development) Council since 2016 and is the current Chairman of the Board. He understands the challenges of business and works to support local businesses to help them prosper in South Elgin. Tim is the founder of R.I.S.E. (Racial, Inclusion, Support, and Equity) and the current Chairman of the Board. His vision for R.I.S.E. is to support community members regardless of race. Aim to set aside political biases and work toward inclusivity and appreciation for each other. Eliminate racial barriers to allow ALL people to prosper. Personal Life and Leisure Activities Two of Tim’s leisure activity passions in life are soccer and scuba diving. He continues to play soccer in a friendly "over 30" league on a weekly basis. He has been scuba diving since the early 1990s and now enjoys diving with his wife and kids. Tim’s number one passion in life is his family. He lives in St. Charles with his wife Jennifer of over 20 years and three children. |
